about

some of us thought that it would be cool to produce a remix version of ‘city islands’. we scraped off a lot of stuff and what was left has been heavily processed, it started off as an experiment but in the end we accomplished something that is both similar and very different from the original compositions.
if on ‘city islands’ you had a group of survivors wandering around, no form of life is left standing here, only desolation, devastation and the distant hum of cold machines. it’s a second level of erosion, an amplification of the meditative side of the original album, leaning heavily towards ambient, noise and drone, leaving all that rock ’n’ roll behind.
we decided to put it out as one 48-minutes long track for two reasons: first to annoy, then to give it even more flow, as we also created transitions from one track to another. it’s a strange trip, not very long but pretty weird and noisy; then again, you could say that about almost any of our albums.
